As an administrator of your organization’s CobbleStone Software Contract Insight account, you are receiving this notice in response to the recent DNS disruption involving the cobblestone.software domain.
What Happened
At approximately 3:10–3:15 PM EST on Monday, January 12, 2026, we were made aware of a DNS disruption affecting the cobblestone.software domain. This issue did not impact all users simultaneously and was intermittent due to DNS propagation behavior.
Our team immediately engaged with our third-party DNS provider, identified the root cause, and corrected the configuration within about 15–20 minutes. However, DNS propagation is not instantaneous and can take time to fully resolve globally. We monitored propagation efforts with the provider for 60–90 minutes to ensure accurate restoration. According to our provider, full propagation would take 2–4 hours worldwide.
How it has been resolved
The DNS configuration issue was corrected promptly, and propagation has been monitored to confirm restoration of full functionality. All services were completely propagated globally by 6:27 PM EST. We are working with our DNS provider to review safeguards and implement measures to prevent similar disruptions in the future.
